Biomass heating is more environmentally friendly because the carbon in biomass is part of the natural carbon cycle.
What is biomass heating?
A biomass boiler system burns a special wood pellet to create heat energy. These pellets are sustainable and can be up to 50% cheaper than the cost of oil. Wood pellets are made from compressed sawdust, which is often the waste product from the timber industry. They are fused together by the natural lignum present in dry wood.
Biomass boilers are usually used in commercial/industrial/agricultural applications, because of their sheer size.
